My name is Tobi Beck. I am an American visual artist based in Southern California. I paint intuitively and rely on raw honesty to release smudges of feelings into freedom. Born and raised in the projects of South Boston, the gritty textures of the city can be seen in my grungy marks, reminiscent of brick and ripped stickers on light poles - memories and a moodiness that inspires my abstract style.
You'll find my work to include monochromatic graphic paintings, mixed media, collage, and a digital medium with focus on layered geometric compositions . I feel & think a lot. Consider this your open invitation to get lost in the work while I get lost in the process. xo Tobs |
