Original abstract painting inspired by the urban textures surrounding me as a child in the projects of South Boston. Warm, muted tones are minimally and spontaneously layered using intuition, scrapers, palette knife edges, deep vulnerability, and loads of dirty water for a rich lived-in feel. This piece is purposefully expansive as a colorful, calm reminder to take space and breath.
