Created for the SCAA Gallery’s Things With Wings exhibit, this is a study in grit, transformation, and finding the courage to fly everyday.
This abstract painting features a "found" butterfly built from a paint-splattered studio paper towel—literally a layered history of past works transformed into something new. It’s a raw intersection of my urban roots and spontaneous curiosities. Using layers of acrylic and "dirty water" intuition, I’ve created a piece that’s as textured as a gritty city alley and as light as a summer breeze.
