This is a playful, slightly "busted" look at the weary reality behind the sequins. This piece was created for the SCAA Gallery’s HighWire: Under the Big Top exhibit, where I traded my scrapers for scissors and my grit for a bit of circus magic.
This original mixed media collage is the "B-Side" of the circus—weathered showgirls, a "one penny" podium, and a weird spotted dog who needs attention. Built from hand-cut scrapbook paper and bold acrylic, it captures the gritty resilience (and occasional irritation) required to keep the show going. It’s a departure from my usual urban flare, but the layers of texture and "weathered" soul are all totally there.

Sometimes the circus is a cage, and we just gotta get out. A playful—and slightly ominous—look at the reality of a unicycling clown on the lam. This piece was created for the SCAA Gallery’s HighWire: Under the Big Top exhibit, where I traded my scrapers for scissors and my grit for a bit of circus magic.
Against a muted, moody sky of pink and purple, this "HighWire" original mixed media collage features a striped clown in a hurry; busting outta town for some breath.
