Just finished my third show at TOAF Los Angeles and it NEVER gets less squirmy - THE BEST TIME!! It was so great meeting new folks, appreciating gritty texture, and connecting over art. Maybe that was you - Hi again! If not & you're new, welcome. :)
PS - I'm now running a local non-profit art gallery?!
What? I know. I know. So fun!
2 years ago I became a member of the Santa Clarita Artists Association (SCAA). I wanted to volunteer, so I became the Newsletter Editor to keep design skills fresh. In 2024, a spot opened up for Gallery Chair to run our membership's SCAA Gallery on 6th Street in Old Town Newhall and I jumped in after some coaxing, having never done this before! I have an amazing new friend in my Co-Chair, Qiana Tarlow, an awesome team of volunteers, and buckets of fun learning the process while getting to utilize my corporate skills and encouraging other artists. And we're in for another round, overseeing 13 art exhibits for 2025!
We have 8 group shows planned this year serving 190+ members, along with 5 gallery rentals for solo shows, small group shows, and other community events. There are a ton of great benefits to membership if you're local! Learn more at www.santaclaritaartists.org
