Original abstract painting created for a group exhibition, Vessels. Layers and layers of urban textures, covered up in warmth through negative painting to organically create beauiful, abstract vessel shapes. Inspired by the urban textures surrounding me as a child in the projects of South Boston. Warm, muted tones are spontaneously layered using intuition, scrapers, palette knife edges, deep vulnerability, and loads of dirty water for a rich lived-in feel.
