My name is Tobi Beck. I am a visual artist based in Southern California. ​​I paint intuitively in acrylic; relying on openness and in-the-moment honesty to release my feelings into smudges of freedom. Born and raised in the projects of South Boston, the gritty textures of the city can be seen in my grungy mark making, reminiscent of old, stained brick and ripped stickers on light poles - memories and a moodiness that inspires my abstract, edgy style. Give me a street corner in the rain any day. GOLD.

​You'll also find my work includes minimal, geometric paintings and graphic marks - still fluid in feel but from the structured parts of me that love good design. These are also acrylic or mixed media. My geometric style blends perfectly in the layered compositions I design digitally, allowing modern prints in calming color palettes with mid-century vibes. Giant brick wall inside an industrial loft with modern furniture and big geometric art. GOALS.
