Imagine my complete and utter shockI'm standing inside my booth at Jackalope Pasadena and am approached by a fun, kind man who asks if I want to be a featured artist at the West Elm store in Beverly Hills. After the pee ran down my leg, I confidently said, "YES". A few weeks later, the email came listing out the details and I got to work on my display. I'd be showing for 2 days in the LA store (technically in Beverly Hills) and I couldn't be more excited. (I MEAN...drooling over interiors online to being inside them with my paintings?! Cmon now). Shoppers here were very complimentary and very much interested in bigger pieces and commissions. It was great to connect with everyone and experience my art through their eyes - a bit of a different perspective than at my usual popups since the focus in-store was from an interior design lens. I enjoyed having talks about space, colors, sizing, and personal style. The staff was also kind and caring, checking in on us to make sure we were treated respectfully and had everything we need to be successful. I'm looking forward to carving out space in 2023 for commission slots! If you are interested in obtaining a commissioned piece for your home, office, business, or for your client's space, please reach out and I will add you to an interest list. You'll be first in line! Thank you, West Elm!This was a great experience. I'm grateful that West Elm recognizes and showcases local artists and makers in their stores as a way to bring brand-awareness and connection to their faithful customers who appreciate design and the arts. Awesome! Would definitely do again!
